Where can I find ESG (Environmental, Social, Governance) data, news and ratings?

ESG (Environmental, Social, and Governance) news and ratings are available in the following databases: 

  • Factiva: International news database. Click the "Factiva Expert Search", then open the "ESG/Investment Stewardship" link to see all options. Access limited to 49 simultaneous users. 
  • WRDS (Wharton Research Data Services): MSCI, SustainAnalytics, and ISS modules. All Berkeley students, staff, and faculty are eligible to request an account using a Berkeley email address. You may be asked to describe your research need prior to approval.
  • Nexis Uni: Single company lookups.
  • Bloomberg:  Courtesy of Haas School of Business, access is for graduate level business students/faculty. Access is not guaranteed for other students but can be requested from Haas.
  • World Bank ESG data
  • Factset: ESG data must be reviewed company by company. Current Berkeley students only, account must be created each year.
