I received a DSP accommodation letter referring me to Media Services/Media Resources Center for video accommodations for a student. How do I get videos captioned?

The Media Resources Center facilitates captioning commercial videos from our circulating collection when an instructor has received a DSP accommodation letter.

Please make a copy of our Media Reserves Request form, making sure to indicate that you have received a DSP accommodation letter for video, as well as the date needed and format preference (streaming and/or DVD), and share with avmccirc@library.berkeley.edu. We will review your media requests to identify streaming or DVD sources that already have subtitles or captioning. If a title in our collection does not have any captioning or SDH subtitles, we will work with the DSP Captioning Office to make our media accessible.

To caption previously recorded or live lectures, online video clips, or other media materials provided by the instructor, please reach out to the DSP captioning office directly at dsp-captioning@berkeley.edu for further assistance.
