What happened to the “Send to Email” option in UC Library Search?

Answer

Due to security vulnerabilities of the integrated Send to Email webform previously available within UC Library Search, the “Send to Email” feature was redesigned to require users to send links to records using their own email client. 

After performing an accessibility audit of the new configuration, the Library found the new configuration did not meet web accessibility standards in all use cases. The Send to Email function was disabled in June 2026.

As an alternative, users can sign into their account and save records to their Favorites list by selecting the pushpin icon in the upper right corner of a UC Library Search record.
