Why do my search results include items that are not at UC Berkeley?

UC Library Search is a discovery tool that searches the local UC Berkeley catalog, all ten UC campus libraries holdings, and licensed electronic resources.
UC Library Search also includes the Central Discovery Index (CDI), a database of citations provided by different publishers, aggregators, and open access sources.
Though not every result that appears in UC Library Search is available directly through UC Berkeley collections and databases, UC Berkeley students, faculty, and staff can place Interlibrary Loan requests for titles that are not in the UC-wide collection.
