I'm looking for older historical annual reports or annual company financials.

Several sources for finding older annual reports and 10-K financials that aren't available in Mergent Online or other company databases:

  1. Proquest has pdfs of historical annual reports for 800 companies, some going back to the late 19th century.
  2. Mergent Archives has basic company financials starting in the late 19th century. Select Corporate Manuals, then Industrial, then year. Search for company. A pdf of the document is available.
  3. Try the Internet Archive. Search for "company name" annual reports. Columbia University's historic annual reports are available here.
  4. Pre-1996 SEC filings can be requested from the SEC. Scroll down to "How to Access or Request Records Not Accessible via SEC Website"
  5. Directory of Corporate Archives from the American Society of Archivists lists corporate archives for the US and Canada.
  6. Libraries with annual reports collections that may assist for a fee.
